At 14 years old, Adrienne’s mother confides in her daughter that she is embarking on an affair. Not only that, she manipulates Adrienne to be complicit by lying to her father so that the affair can continue for several years. The consequences of her complicity has a profound impact on Adrienne’s life as an adult.
