Portraits of Survivors

With Monni Must, Master Photographer

Monni Must, Master Photographer, shares her passion for capturing portraits of Holocaust survivors. Monni has traveled the world meeting with survivors who share keepsake photos of their families, allowing Monni into their homes, their closets, and their secrets in order to capture their essence in beautifully choreographed portraits. Monni teamed up with her daughter Sabrina Must, who wrote the text for the books in which the portraits appear, including survivors from the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Israel.

Monni explains how she pushes forward with this phase of her career, after losing her daughter Miya. Her work is an effort to 'keep Miya alive' as she fulfills her passion and utilizes her technical expertise as a photographer in such a meaningful way. Visit
