With Aliya Pasik, MS, PA-C, Program Director of the Addiction Recovery Center at the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine.

Aliya Pasik, MS, PA-C, is the Program Director of the Addiction Recovery Center at the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine. Aliya addresses the many forms of addiction and substance abuse, particularly as it relates to the 50+ demographic. She describes underlying conditions that lead to self-medication such as ADHD, loneliness, anxiety, depression, and boredom. Alcohol abuse seems to be on the rise, especially during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Aliya also discusses specific clinical programs that she is spearheading, describes certain signs that lead to substance abuse, and provides medical, cognitive, and holistic ways for patients and their families to have conversations that lead to recovery.
