Friday, December 18, 2020 / Categories: Leisure, Hobbies, Arts and Culture Book Review: The Vanishing Half Written by Brit Bennett Brit Bennett's novel is a fascinating story of a pair of black twin sisters who struggle with their racial identities. Inseparable as young girls, they travel very different paths as adults. One sister stays at home in their southern black community, where the twins grew up. The other passes for white and builds her life in the white community. Debbie gives this book a two thumbs up, as it is beautifully written, and of course, very timely.
