Two young girls, one who lives in the Dominican Republic and the other who lives in New York City unknowingly share a father. They both adore him. It is only after their father dies in a plane crash that they learn of the other’s existence. The bittersweet bond that develops between the two extremely different girls is touching and beautiful. This novel sticks with the reader for a very long time after the last page has been turned.
