Abuse and Trauma Recovery - Narcissistic Personality Disorder

With Heather Coleman-Voss, CPCC, CPLC, CBSP, founder of Career Savvy Coaching

Experts estimate that up to 5% of people have Narcissistic personality disorder, or NPD. Narcissistic personality disorder — one of several types of personality disorders — is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. This disorder leads to significant problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial affairs and causes people to think, feel and behave in ways that hurt themselves or others.

Heather Coleman-Voss, CPCC, CPLC, CBSP, founder of Career Savvy Coaching, discusses covert and overt behavioral patterns of NPD, the emotional, physical and mental toll this takes on victims of all ages and their families and ways to get professional help to break the cycle of abuse.
